Dra. Laura Mezquita MD, PhD is a Medical Oncologist with more than 10 years in Thoracic Oncology at Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, Researcher in the Laboratory of Translational Genomics and Targeted therapies in Solid Tumors at IDIBAPS (Barcelona), and Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona.
Within thoracic oncology, Dr Mezquita is involved in several clinical and translational research projects focus on 3 main areas: a) biomarkers for immunotherapy, b) precision medicine, and c) molecular epidemiology (particularly radon-induced lung cancer). She has authored more than 90 indexed publications, with H-index of 21 and 4760 citations.
Member of the international associations of cancer: EORTC, ESMO, IASLC, AACR, etc. Member of the ESMO Leaders Generation Program; ESMO Faculty in metastatic NSCLC Group and director of SEOM Environmental and Occupational Cancer Working Group. She participates in Scientific Committees and is invited Speaker at national and international conferences (ESMO, IASLC, ASCO, WCLC, etc.).
