Dr Alfredo Addeo is a senior Medical Oncologist in the Department of Oncology at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG), Geneva Switzerland.
Dr Addeo’s main research interests include circulating tumour DNA, liquid biopsies, predictive and prognostic biomarker, patient reported outcomes in thoracic malignancies. Throughout his career, Dr Addeo has authored many publications in several international peer-reviewed journals such as Lancet Oncology, Jama Oncology, Annals of Oncology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Many of Dr Addeo’s writings within the field of NSCLC encompass immunotherapies including immune checkpoint inhibitors, and oncogenic biomarkers such EGFR, HER2, and PD-L1.
Furthermore, Dr Addeo has served as lead of numerous translational research projects focused on tumour development and targeted therapies, particularly in melanoma and lung cancer. He is an active member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the European Thoracic oncology platform (ETOP) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
