André Mansinho is a medical oncologist at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte, in Lisbon, Portugal, where he coordinates the oncology clinical trials team. Dr Mansinho is also Assistant Professor of Oncobiology in the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon Academic Medical Centre (CAML), and is a clinical researcher on the translational oncology investigation team in the Luís Costa Lab at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular – João Lobo Antunes, both in Lisbon, Portugal. He graduated from Nova Medical School, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon, in 2011, completing a master’s degree in medicine, prior to completing his residency in medical oncology at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte, from 2013 to 2018. During this time, Dr Mansinho also completed a fellowship in early phase clinical trials at the START Institute in Madrid, Spain.
Dr Mansinho is involved in numerous international and local clinical trials (phase 1–3), and was Principal Investigator for several protocols. He is an active member of a number of scientific societies including the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and serves on the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Society of Oncology (SPO).
Dr Mansinho has authored and co-authored book chapters, and has published several manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals including the Annals of Oncology and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
