Julien Van Damme is a urologist in the Department of Urology at Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, in Brussels, Belgium. Dr Van Damme obtained his medical degree in 2012 from the Université catholique de Louvain, Brussels, and completed his specialisation in urology, in 2018, at the same institution.
Dr Van Damme’s main research and clinical interests are uro-oncology, modern imaging modalities such as whole-body magnetic resonance imaging and minimally invasive (robotic-assisted) surgery. He is heavily involved in uro-oncological research projects and clinical trials at the Université catholique de Louvain.
Dr Van Damme is a board-certified urologist, a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), and a member of the Board of Directors of the Société Belge d’Urologie (SBU). He is a member of several scientific societies including the European Association of Urology (EAU), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).
Dr Van Damme has co-authored several original and review articles in peer-reviewed journals including most recently the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, European Urology, World Journal of Urology, and Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations. He has presented at national and international meetings including the European Association of Urology Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU), the Annual Meeting of the Association of Urology Nurses and Associates (UROBEL) Meeting and at the Annual Congress of the Belgian Association of Urology (BAU).
