Professor Nicolas Girard is Head of the Thorax Institute Curie-Montsouris, and Professor of Thoracic Oncology and Respiratory Medicine at the Paris Saclay University, France.
Prof. Girard is a leading pneumologist specialising in clinical and translational research projects focused on improving the treatment of thoracic cancers such as lung cancer. His current research interests include the development of precision medicine and immunotherapy monitoring in lung cancer and other rare thoracic tumours. Furthermore, Prof. Girard has published 15 book chapters and over 100 scientific articles within the landscape of thoracic oncology.
Prof. Girard serves as Chair of the French Society of Respiratory Medicine Oncology Group and Lead of rare thoracic tumours within the multi-domain European Reference Network known as EURACAN. He is also a board member of the French Cooperative Thoracic Intergroup and is on the editorial board for the Journal of Thoracic Oncology and Lung Cancer. Throughout his career, Prof. Girard has presented at numerous events such as the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 2022 Annual Meeting.
